What to expect during an eye examination?

Your optometrist will conduct a series of tests to evaluate your vision. These tests will help determine your prescription for glasses or contact lenses and check for common eye conditions

Using advanced technology, your optometrist will examine the health of your eyes, looking for signs of diseases such as glaucoma, cataracts, and macular degeneration.

Based on the results, your optometrist will discuss your eye health and vision needs, providing tailored advice and solutions to ensure optimal eye care.

SPECIALISED SERVICES

OCT

Ocular Coherence Tomography is an advanced eye scan for people of all ages. Similar to ultrasound, OCT uses light rather than sound waves to illustrate the different layers that make up the back of the eye

Retinal Imaging

As part of our commitment to provide you with the very highest standard of eye care we include Retinal imaging as standard in our comprehensive eye examinations.

Dry & Red Eye

We find that the majority problems leading to red eyes are not from infections, but often allergic/seasonal conjunctivitis which would not benefit from anti-biotic medication

Tips for People Using Computer Screens at Work

The main risk to your eyes comes from staring at a screen for too long. For this, it is important to take regular breaks every twenty minutes to look away from the screen. This should be sufficient rest for your eyes.

Make adjustments to your monitor or screen. Most screens come with the option of adjusting contrast, this can be manipulated to a point where the stress being caused to the eyes are at a bare minimum.

Avoiding glare and check for lights around the screen. It is important to make sure there aren’t any bright lights around your computer screen and avoid any glare being reflected off.
